How to Schedule an Internship Coaching Appointment

You can get help finding, learning about, and applying for internships by meeting with a peer coach who is familiar with the process! During this appointment, we can help you discover internships you might be interested in, write cover letters, prepare your application materials, and start to gather your references. Appointments are available in person, virtually on Zoom, by email, or phone.

How to Make an Appointment:

  1. Log in to arizona.joinhandshake.com using your NetID and password.
  2. Click on Career Center in the upper right-hand corner.
  3.  Click on Appointments.
  4. Select Schedule a New Appointment.
  5. Select University of Arizona Career Advising.
  • You may also see advising centers that are specific to your major when you get to this option. The option for University of Arizona Career Advising is open to students of all majors.

6. Select the option for Internship Coaching.

  • You can update your search preferences at any time by clicking the Category, Type, Staff Member, or Appointment Medium boxes at the top of the scheduling page

Grace Moretti

Mathematics and Secondary Education

Hello! My name is Grace, and I am a Junior studying Mathematics with an emphasis in Secondary Education. After college I plan on teaching High School level math and coaching sports! Some fun facts about myself are that I marched for 2 years in the Pride of Arizona as a piccolo and I am on the executive board of my honorary sorority. I also had the amazing opportunity to be an Engineering Intern for a company in Boston last summer!


As an Internship Peer Coach, my goal is to build up student’s confidence in themselves, application documents, and their careers! I am ready to meet students at all career readiness levels and support in every way that I can.

Selena Dey-Foy

Psychology and Law

Hello! My name is Selena and I am a sophomore majoring in psychology and law. I plan to become a practicing criminal justice attorney or forensic psychologist. I’m originally from Washington D.C. and can be spotted at my extracurricular Mock Trial Club.


As a Peer Coach, I aim to help students take control of their budding careers and present their best professional selves. I hope to spread awareness about how fruitful having an internship can be and become a prominent connection for professional campus resources! One of my favorite parts of my job is meeting all the different types of students that attend our school and helping students pick the best internship available.

Oliver Soderberg

Fine Arts – Photography

Hi! My name’s Oliver I am a Junior at the University of Arizona majoring in Fine Arts: Photography, I also volunteer for the student radio and have a deep passion for sports media. After graduation, I plan on becoming a sports photographer! I have been working at Student Engagement and Career Development for almost two years.

I take great pride in assisting students with their professional documents, and interview skills to help secure internships and job opportunities. One of my favorite parts of my job is showing students resources they haven’t heard of and setting them up to find opportunities they’ll enjoy!

Computer Science and Mathematics

Hello! My name is Simi, and I’m a senior majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. I’m involved in Greek Life and the Honors College, and I work as an Internship Peer Coach and as an Undergraduate Research Ambassador. I plan to pursue a career as a software developer.


I find great fulfillment in helping students during different stages of their journey, providing personalized guidance to achieve the best results. I enjoy one-on-one appointments, where I get to discuss each student’s unique journey, potential, and the vast possibilities for securing internships. Whether it’s editing resumes, crafting cover letters, conducting mock interviews, or simply discussing interests to better understand career paths, I’m here to support students in every way possible. My message to all students is that “The possibilities are endless, and it’s never too late to start.” We’re here to help at every step!

Shreya Bhaskar

Biology

Hello! My name is Shreya and I am a junior majoring in Biology on the pre-med track. I have been an Internship Peer Coach with SECD and also a Research Assistant with Research Development Services since September 2023. In my free time, I enjoy exploring Tucson and volunteering at hospitals to help my community.

I enjoy meeting with students from diverse backgrounds to help navigate them through their internship search journey. Numerous opportunities exist for students that can enhance their college experience, and I like to help match students with experiences tailored to their interests.
