Finding Research Positions on Handshake
Handshake is a great tool for students to find on-campus and off-campus positions. With jobs, research, internships, and other positions on handshake, you want to use filters to help narrow down the search for research opportunities.
Log-in and go to “Jobs”
Log in to arizona.joinhandshake.com using your UA NetID and password. As a UA student, you already have access to your free account!
Click on the “Jobs” tab
Use Filters
Use the filters to help narrow your search! Using keywords like “Research,” and setting a location to where you are looking will help narrow the positions that appear.
Selecting the “Undergraduate Research” Label
You can use labels to also help narrow you search! Under the “Jobs” tab, click on “All filters,” and at the bottom, there is a column called “Labeled by your school.” Use the label “Undergraduate Research” to get undergraduate research positions.
Explore Opportunities and Save Positions
Time to explore! Go through the positions and look to see if they fit your interests. You can also look for application deadlines, qualifications/requirements, or other key information.
Click on the bookmark icon to save positions that you’re interested in.
The positions will then appear in your “Saved” tab so you can apply to them when you’re ready!
