The Wildcat Student Employment and Research Fair is ideal for on-campus and Tucson-based organizations hiring students for part-time positions and undergraduate research.
This fair is held the first week of the fall semester and attracts students seeking immediate part-time work and research opportunities upon their return to campus.

Recruiters can expect to engage with Wildcats at every stage of their career journey, from juniors and seniors ready to apply to first- and second-year students exploring career paths. Attendance varies by fair and by semester, but every event offers an opportunity to build your early talent pathways and strengthen your employer brand across campus.
Larger fairs put you in front of a bigger, more diverse pool of candidates, while smaller fairs give you more time for conversations with students, reducing your time to interview.
What To Expect
- First- and second-year students exploring the fair and finding out what skills employers actually look for. They’re not always ready to apply but taking notes on your organization for later. This first interaction will be shared with friends and remembered when they’re ready to apply.
- Juniors and seniors actively searching for internships and full-time roles, typically resume in hand with specific questions about your openings.
- Questions about your organization’s culture and day-to-day work, details that don’t show up in a job posting and that only a 1:1 conversation can answer.
The Five-Minute Payoff
The first- and second-year students at your table today are your future applicants. Be the organization they remember, and you’ll be the one they reach out to first when they’re ready to apply.
