The Job Shadow Program is a low-pressure, one-day educational experience for students at the University of Arizona to gain exposure to a professional workplace or industry, explore potential careers and make new connections.

Shadows are available with employers in Arizona and across the United States during winter, spring and summer breaks.

Students with little or no professional experience are encouraged are to participate. You will need a current resume and a cover letter explaining why you’re why you’re applying and what you hope to gain from the experience.

How to Search for Jobs Shadows on Handshake

  • In Handshake, click on “Jobs”
  • Click on “Filters” and scroll down to the bottom of the page and select “Labeled by your School”
  • Type in the label “UA Job Shadow Program
  • When you’re ready, click “Apply”*
