The Job Shadow Program is a single-day educational experience where students at the University of Arizona can gain exposure to a professional workplace, explore potential careers and make professional connections.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications for the Winter 2025 session are now closed. Be sure to keep an eye out in April 2026 for job shadow opportunities for the summer session!

Job shadows can fill quickly once they’re posted on Handshake. Be sure to apply as soon as possible. If you need support with your resume or cover letter, make an appointment with a Career Educator or Internship coach, or drop into LifeLab.

  1. Get on Handshake.
  2. Click on “Jobs”.
  3. Click on “Filters” and scroll down to the bottom of the page and select “Labeled by your School”.
  4. Type in the label “UA Job Shadow Program”.
  5. Click “Apply”.
  6. Submit a cover letter & resume for each shadow to which you are applying (Max: 5).

 

Students may participate in one shadow per academic year. You may apply for up to five opportunities per session on Handshake. Students will be matched to one opportunity per session.
