Design Lab, part of Student Engagement and Career Development, offers paid micro-internship opportunities for students. Design Lab hires, trains, mentors, and pays student wages so there is minimal labor for our partners. Design Lab offers industry and community partners the opportunity to gain actionable insights on challenges faced in their work while sponsoring a learning experience for undergraduate students.
Employers engage with students as multi-disciplinary teams who research, ideate, and prototype solutions to real-world challenges, supported at each phase of their micro-internship by our staff and paid by our department. The “micro” in our micro internships refers to the time and energy the employer is required to invest. But the impact is enormous — for both the students and partners!
Opportunities are available each semester and during the summer for students and partners.
If you are interested in participating in an internship as either a student or a partner organization please contact Anupam Singh to learn more.
