Design Lab Internships

Design Lab offers paid micro-internship opportunities for students.

Design Lab offers industry and community partners the opportunity to gain actionable insights on challenges faced in their work while sponsoring a learning experience for undergraduate students. Partners have minimal labor as Design Lab hires, trains, mentors student participants and pays student wages.

Employers engage with students as multi-disciplinary teams who use Design Thinking to research, ideate, and prototype solutions to real-world challenges, supported at each phase of their micro-internship by our staff and paid by our department. The “micro” in our micro internships refers to the time and energy the employer is required to invest. But the impact is enormous — for both the students and partners!
