It’s very important to look at the job description that you’re applying for and match and tailor your resume to that job description. It’s always my recommendation that if someone’s reading through a job description that they’ll tailor their resume to that. If you’re trying to apply for my media manager position that has these five prerequisites even if you had those and didn’t take the time to go through and you expected me to find it on your website or whatever your LinkedIn profile it’s probably not going to happen. If you’re working in a sales position say that you’re good with time management or you’re good with thinking on your feet or being on your own being able to organize your schedule. If you’re going to be in computer engineering say the different languages that you know how to program Javascript Java Python C Plus put those on there show that you have those skills so you can kind of scale your resume and detail it in the best aspects that suit that position somebody might apply to a program manager role and they also might apply to a team manager role. But if their resume is the same they might get automatically knocked out for one because it’s going to lack certain criteria that I’m searching for so it’s always my recommendation to look through the requirements of a job description and make sure those keywords are integrated into your resume so that when that digital copy goes into the applicant tracking system and I do a keyword search for a specific role it’s going to pull you as a match for that specific position.
