One of the resources I’m excited to show people in LifeLab is Big Interview. Big Interview is a free online interview practice tool that combines video lessons and interactive polling practice questions. Brushing up on your interview skills is highly important right now, especially since many of the initial first round interviews are conducted online. If you go ahead and type in arizona.biginterview.edu. And log in. All you need is your Net ID and school password. Once you’re logged in it’ll bring you to this main page. There’s these two different categories that you can choose from. First is fast track which is a category that covers most common interview challenges including different types of interviewers and how to master common questions. Then there’s Mastery Track that covers more advanced topics and play books for specific interview challenges. Now if you go to the top of the page and look at practice. Practice interviews. There’s many different categories to choose from, for example if you go to industry, it has a bunch of different industries where there are very specific questions detailed to that industry, so for example, if we click on Human Resources
and then pick a category and then just hit “Start with general interviewers” Let’s say we’ll start off with standard. Continue interview. so it’ll bring you to this main page where you’re able to record yourself practicing. This will help you control your volume, change your posture and even watch out for any nervous habits you may not know you have. By practicing the variety of questions and getting used to speaking about yourself, you become a better interviewer in no time.
