Hi y’all I’m Brenton and today I’m going to be sharing three tips for finding the companies that you want to work for on handshake you can search for specific companies by going to the employers page on your dashboard type in a company name that you’re interested in you can learn about them and see their open jobs and internships.
When you view a job or internship on handshake you’ll also see an employer description and a link to their employer page employer pages are really interesting because they’ve got tons of information to help you learn about the employer and this can come in handy when you’re writing a cover letter or making conversation in an interview. You’ll also see reviews from past employees interview tips profiles of other Handshake users who have worked there in the past and even a list of open job roles for students at your school. When you come across an employer that you like be sure to hit the follow button on their preview card or on their employer page if you’re using the handshake app it’s going to be a cute little star icon following employers means you’ll get email alerts when they post new jobs or events and it also helps train handshake to learn what you like and surface relevant recommendations to you in the future.
