The College of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Planning (CAPLA) is excited to announce opportunities for three dedicated Undergraduate Research Assistants eligible to receive Federal Work Study (FWS) funding for the upcoming Spring 2024 semester. This role is pivotal in advancing research focused on documenting the impacts of human-induced climate change on both the built and natural landscapes within the vibrant Arizona Sun Corridor. As part of this dynamic team, student research assistants will be actively involved in gathering crucial climate data, analyzing settlement patterns, and crafting innovative strategies for visualizing, mapping, and presenting findings. The compensation rate ranges from $14.50 to $15.50 per hour. The work will be conducted at the UA School of Architecture, housed within CAPLA. Requirements

Expectations
- Knowledge of 2D CAD software
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software, Rhinoceros
- Basic knowledge of graphics software, Adobe Creative Cloud
- Ability to work 10 scheduled hours per week.
Preferences
- Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Art, ISchool or Design-related major.
- Knowledge of GIS or Parametric Design software
- Summer availability
- Sophomore standing or above.
