Hydrogen Education Fast Track: The Role of Hydrogen in a Clean Energy Future is a 6-week free, co-curricular program that brings students together to learn more about future careers in hydrogen power. Students will learn more about hydrogen energy from 5 asynchronous one-hour courses and will then complete a team project that showcases their learning and present their final project to industry partners SRP (Salt River Project) and EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute). Students will learn more about this cutting-edge field from experts at SRP and EPRI and learn more out about upcoming internship or entry-level jobs in the field. Students will have the opportunity to share their completed team project with SRP & EPRI for feedback, and can also share their resume with employers at the end of the program.
Once students are registered in Handshake, they will receive a brief email application to ensure students have the necessary prerequisites to participate. Handshake registration does not ensure participation until a student’s status is confirmed by email after a brief follow up application. Students should have completed one semester of physics, chemistry and calculus to participate. Any undergraduate student in any major or year can register, however preference may be given to students in Engineering, Science majors and/or students with the needed prerequisites.
Here is the schedule:
Session 1 Wed., March 13th 4:00-5:00 p.m.-Kickoff Session with SRP & EPRI
Session 2 Wed., March 20th 4:00-5:00 p.m.-Team Project Launch
