100% Engagement Faculty and Staff

Engagement inspires students to translate and apply their learning into transformative practices and experiences that can impact their professional and personal lives.

The 100% Engagement initiative is designed to expand opportunities for undergraduate students at the University of Arizona for integrative, transformational educational experiences. These opportunities engage students across years and disciplines in the application of learning to authentic challenges facing our campus and community.

100% Engagement equips students to recognize and articulate their growth from these learning experiences, setting them up for success as they pursue their academic and professional goals.  All experiences connect to one Engagement Activity and one Engagement Competency reflecting the unique strengths and values of the University of Arizona experience.

These attributes are added at the course level. Students can earn this notation on their official academic transcript either by successfully completing an upper-division (300- or 400-level) course assigned an Engaged Learning Activity and Engaged Learning Competency or by completing an approved non-credit Engaged Learning Experience.

As faculty and staff, you can propose non-credit experiences for approval to participate in the 100% Engagement initiative. If you are considering submitting a new non-credit engaged learning experience proposal, please reach out to Annie Kurtin, Lead, Experiential Learning Design, akurtin@email.arizona.edu
