When creating the structure of your resume, you want clear categories so the reader can find the information they are looking for. At minimum, your resume needs an education section and an experience section. Most resumes have 3-4 categories, but this should be driven by how important and substantive your content is. If you only have one publication, but it is incredibly relevant to your career goals, you may include that section. When choosing your categories you can be more specific if you have depth of experience in one particular area. Or, you can be general if you have breadth of experience and are just entering or exploring a career field. Just make sure the category is clear to the reader. So, what categories might you utilize?
