Fast Track: Adobe Creative Cloud
Build Your Creative Literacy with Adobe Creative Cloud
Are you prepared to think and work creatively in the workplace? According to an conducted on behalf of the Association of American Colleges & Universities, only 37 percent of employers believed that recent college graduates were "well-prepared with current technologies." These technologies include those traditionally considered limited to creative fields: graphic design and video editing software. These creative tools, as provided by Adobe, are essential for all professions as all industries become more digital.
This 4.5 week program is designed to introduce you to Adobe Creative Cloud, its applications, and the design process. You will select one of three software application tracks: Graphics in Photoshop, Video in Premiere Pro, or Print in InDesign (If you are not current UA student, you must have access to your own Adobe Creative Cloud software). No prior experience is required, just a willingness to try new things!
What is Adobe Creative Cloud?
Adobe Creative Cloud is a software as a service offering from Adobe for graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, and cloud services. The University of Arizona has announced an agreement with Adobe to provide its student body the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud software, making the institution the company's first West Coast Adobe Creative Campus to earn this recognition for its commitment to creative and digital literacy among its students.
What you'll learn
Over the course of the program, you will explore the concept of creative literacy by creating digital media using your chosen software track, exploring techniques individually, and providing feedback on the work of peers. You should expect to take approximately 25 hours to complete all modules and assignments over a 4.5 week time period. You will present your final projects in a pitch to one of our employer partners for feedback. Your final pitch demonstrates your accomplishments in key skill and knowledge areas and can be used to your advantage in the job market.
