Peace Corps Prep Program

What is the Peace Corps?

As the preeminent international service organization of the United States, the Peace Corps sends Americans abroad to tackle the most pressing needs of people around the world.

As a Peace Corps Volunteer, you work at the grassroots level toward sustainable change that lives on long after your service—at the same time becoming a global citizen and serving your country. When you return home, you bring your knowledge and experiences—and a global outlook—that enriches the lives of those around you.

Volunteers are needed to fill a variety of open positions throughout the world; however, most of these opportunities fall under six general work areas:

  • Agriculture
  • Community Economic Development
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Health
  • Youth in Development

Peace Corps Prep Program

The Peace Corps Prep Program (PCPP) prepares undergraduate students for international fieldwork and potential Peace Corps service. It aims to expand the classroom through applied learning with volunteer and non-profit organizations where you will become part of a community of like-minded students interested in international service and the betterment of all peoples.

How do you know if PCPP is right for you?

  • Are you an undergraduate student interested in serving with the Peace Corps after graduation?
  • Are you considering a career in a global field?
  • Is it important to you to have a future career that contributes to the greater good of all peoples?
  • If you answered yes to any of these questions, this program may be for you!
