At the University of Arizona we have ten Career Clusters, each with a dedicated community on our website.

Career Clusters are useful because they group similar professions together, making it easier for you to explore and understand different career paths. By focusing on a specific cluster, you can quickly identify related jobs and internships, gain insights into industry trends, and discover the skills and qualifications needed for various roles. This structured approach helps you make more informed decisions about your career interests and provides a clearer path for gaining relevant experience and connections.

Identifying with a cluster can help you build your career, focus your job or internship search, and choose credentials — such as specialized training or certifications — that will qualify you for a variety of different, but related, roles. It’s often easier to change jobs and advance within a Career Cluster. Career Clusters are not the same as industries. Career Clusters focus on related jobs with similar skills, while industries describe the broader sectors where those jobs are found.
