Career Champions

Career Everywhere

Professor leading volunteer project and giving advice

Career conversations with students can happen anywhere and everywhere! That’s why we’ve created the Career Champions program. Career Champions form a network of faculty, staff and academic advisers helping students achieve career success. By building career development capacity campus-wide, we increase the likelihood that all students will find the career support and resources they need throughout their time at the University of Arizona.

The Career Champions program provides opportunities for University faculty, staff and academic advisers to better understand the career development resources and support available on-campus and through SECD. Through a series of capacity-building conversations, the Career Champions program strives to:

  • Maximize access to career development support for all students to enhance career outcomes and success.
  • Enable and empower all faculty & staff to provide career development programming and services to students.
  • Integrate resources and programs into classroom and academic experiences for students.
  • Identify potential areas for collaboration, partnership, and integration within other campus units.
