My research journey started with nothing but curiosity and determination. Watching international students secure research internships at top universities, I knew I wanted to explore that world. But I had no network, no referrals—just a desire to learn. So, in January 2024, I began emailing professors across the globe, facing countless rejections before finally receiving my first positive response in May 2024. That single “yes” changed everything.
Today, I am a Research Assistant at Brown University and IE Business School, contributing to an academic book on Human Resource Management. At Cambridge Judge Business School, I analyzed power dynamics in leadership, working with data from over 800 influential individuals. My research at Wharton, INSEAD, and Bocconi University focused on sports management, where I led data collection from 380+ survey responses, uncovering insights into team performance strategies. My curiosity led me to behavioral and animal research, where I studied cognitive processes in humans and animals at UPenn and the University of Maryland. At Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary, I explored cross-cultural perceptions of companion dogs, and at IISER Kolkata, I observed free-ranging dog behavior to understand their survival strategies.
Meanwhile, at NALSAR University of Law, I researched animal protection laws, bridging science and policy. If you never try, you will never know. What started as a simple idea—sending cold emails—turned into a transformative experience. I’ve learned that persistence opens doors, and passion fuels progress. My journey is just beginning, and I can’t wait to keep exploring the world of research.
