I have completed the intro to AI course presented by IBM and hosted by Coursera. This particular course is part of a larger certificate program that includes 9 additional courses like this one. I am also doing IBM’s twelve-course Data Science professional certificate, on the same platform. I would recommend trying to add something like this to your study plan, especially for online students. I find that if you are having to balance school with work and life schedules, there are often times when you have a window that wouldn’t be long enough to really sit down and grind out an assignment for one of your classes. If you find yourself with 45 minutes here and there throughout the week, the way that the Coursera courses are set up makes it super easy to just jump right back in where you left off without having to sign back in or find your place in the material. Beyond that, the material itself is pretty wide ranging and gives you a good lay of the land if you are exploring different aspects of the field. You get an overview of quite a bit, which I think is important for undergrads like myself. It’s a good way to find out pretty quickly whether you enjoy the subject matter or not and it also gives you a glimpse into career options and what that could look like from day to day. So yeah, I would definitely recommend looking further into this as an option to supplement your degree.
