The Outreach & Development team is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with promoting Campus Rec programs, event planning, and building internal & external partner relationships. The Outreach Assistant will be responsible for tasks such as scheduling, rentals, tabling, and presentations, and should be prepared to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
· Experience with Microsoft Office suite
· Possess outstanding leadership, supervisory, and communication skills
· Must be enrolled at UAZ for a minimum of 6 credit hours (employment contingent on enrollment)
· Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and summer (flexible scheduling and break availability)
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience or knowledge in facilitating special events
· Valid Driver’s License
· Familiarity with Campus REC programs
Duties & Responsibilities
Administrative
· Attend staff meetings and training sessions
· Maintain positive, engaging communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding events, sponsorship opportunities, and outreach initiatives
· Model department values and expectations
· Prioritize and meet deadlines for multiple projects
· Complete special projects as assigned
Marketing & Events
· Assist with planning, scheduling, renting, executing, and evaluating events and activations
· Coordinate marketing materials (social media posts, flyers, posters, thank-you notes, invitations, etc.)
· Support special event activities, including tabling, tours, and events on and off-campus
· Set up and break down events, including transporting tables, banners, and literature
· Inventory and maintain event equipment and supplies to ensure quality, safety, and security
Internal/External Partner Relationships
· Develop strategies and presentations to enhance the Outreach Ambassador Program’s visibility
· Assist in recruiting, scheduling, and training students for the Outreach Ambassador Program
· Build and maintain relationships with potential internal and external partners for event sponsorship and participation
Required Training and Certifications *
The successful incumbent is required to have the following certifications and training:
-All Department of Campus Recreation employees are required to complete blood borne pathogen training within 45 days of hire and renew on an annual basis.
-Complete New Employee training which includes but not limited to Emergency Action Plan, Nondiscrimination and Anti-harassment Policy training, All-Employee Security (Computer) Awareness, and Online Driver Registration & Golf Cart (if authorized)
