Job Description:
Campus Recreation is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform a variety of duties supporting the Membership and Outreach program. This individual will assist the Membership Specialist in executing membership sales at Campus Recreation. The Membership Assistant will provide excellent customer service, promote Campus Recreation services, build relationships with patrons, and meaningfully engage with diverse communities. The Membership Assistant should be prepared to work independently in a fast passed environment.

Required Qualifications:
-Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
-Experience with Microsoft Office suite
-Possess outstanding leadership, supervisory, and communication skills
-Must be enrolled at UAZ for a minimum of 6 credit hours (employment contingent on enrollment)
-Early morning, evening, weekend, and summer availability; flexible scheduling and break availability
Preferred Qualifications:
-Valid Driver’s License
-Knowledge of Campus Rec programs
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Model department values and expectations
-Communicate via email, phone and in person regarding memberships
-Positive, engaging communication with the general public
-Support and manage the membership service email and voice messages
-Explain, sell, and process memberships to University staff
-Answer questions regarding the purchases and enrollment for program offerings
-Process the sale and/or cancellations for program and facility related purchases
-Inventory and maintain promotional items and supplies
-Prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
-Develop tactics to increase awareness of CampusREC memberships including but not limited to presentations, tours, and tabling.
Required Training and Certifications:
The successful incumbent is required to have the following certifications and training:
-All Department of Campus Recreation employees are required to complete blood borne pathogen training within 45 days of hire and renew on an annual basis.
-Complete New Employee training which includes but not limited to Emergency Action Plan, Nondiscrimination and Anti-harassment Policy training, All-Employee Security (Computer) Awareness, and Online Driver Registration & Golf Cart (if authorized)
