The Healthcare Technology Innovation Lab Operations Support Intern will work under supervision of the Sensor Lab Coordinator – Gustavo Almeida along with University of Arizona Health Sciences (UAHS) personnel, strategic plan leaders Professor Winslow Burleson and Professor Jennifer Barton in the in the support of a new Healthcare Technology Innovation Lab, with flexible spaces configured for a variety of projects, including XR studies, wearable sensor development, closed-loop sensing studies, and group dynamics studies.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the mentoring of the Laboratory Coordinator and the team, this student will:
– Create/update existing database of sensors and room reservation in our QRESERVE system
– Update/Maintain the SensorLab website – with news, announcements, events and other information
– Support the procurement of new sensors, software and devices, compiling information, gathering costs from websites and technical specifications
– Checkout equipment and support the management of sensor inventory.
– Work in collaboration with the team and other researchers to support research conducted in the SensorLab, including operating computers, placing sensors and general research support
– Participating in meetings with the Laboratory Coordinator as well as project meetings with other participants
– Availability to work in a hybrid model with at least 8 hours/week in the lab – for checking out equipment and other tasks that are executed in the space
– QUALIFICATIONS:
Current undergraduate student at the University of Arizona.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Understanding of programing languages – preferable Python and/or JavaScript
– Experience in Content Management Systems/HTML
– Knowledge and/or Interest in Sensors.
