We are looking for an intern to join our team at PACE Technologies! We manufacture metallographic equipment and consumables for material analysis and quality control. We will review candidates pursuing various engineering degrees.
As our intern, you will be performing duties to improve our product manufacturing process. You will collaborate with our engineering and quality control teams for your assignments, and your contribution will help develop, improve, build and maintain our equipment.
This internship will help you acquire new skills and provide you with a deep knowledge of various types of metallographic equipment.
Responsibilities
· This role will work closely with the PACE’s mechanical engineers and technician team, but will also be expected to plan and conduct independent work
· Help improve our processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability
· Help address production issues related to materials and processes, ensure root causes of issues are understood and solutions are robust and cost effective
· Actively participate in production meetings
· Edit or draft product manuals and/or procedures
Requirements
· Must be able to work full time from May/June through August 2024
· Excellent oral/written communication abilities
· Passionate and excited to learn, able to learn independently
· Insatiable curiosity for science, technology and understanding of how things work
· Work is performed Monday through Friday
Bonus Points
· Experience with CAD and/or SOLIDWORKS
The expected start date is May 20th, 2024. There is flexibility in both the start date and working hours for the chosen candidate.
