Description: The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid is currently looking for multiple enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organized students to join our team through in-person work on campus!

These are Federal Work-Study (FWS) positions, and you must be eligible for FWS to apply for the position. Students hired for this position must work over the summer break as this is a year-round position. (Remote options available for those who qualify)

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing friendly customer service at the front counter (in person), phones, chat, and email to students as well as their parents and/or family supporters

• Maintaining Client Service documents and forms

• Ongoing education about scholarship & financial aid processes and procedures

• Making calls to inform students of financial aid documentation needed

• Assisting other areas of the office as needed

• Special projects as assigned

Job specific requirements:

• This in-person position requires meticulous and extensive use of UAccess and Trellis systems

• Work as part of a team to coordinate customer service efforts, but performs service individually

• Students work continuously throughout the year, including winter break and summer semesters; work schedules are organized around class schedules each semester

• Serve as a source of information and advice for students and families regarding scholarships and financial aid

• Ability to complete training in federal regulations, scholarships and financial aid, and client service skills

• Work in a fast-paced environment during high-peak times

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study

• Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or higher

• Must possess superior analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Must be able to adapt quickly to the various tasks and responsibilities

• Must work well in a team and office environment

• Must be able to take initiative and apply logical problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Expected to utilize most primary office software packages, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
