Position: Assistant Editor for Medical Malpractice Insurance Book Adaptation
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 Months (Potential Extension)
Compensation: $8 per page

About Insurance By Dentists, LLC:
We are adapting a malpractice insurance book, originally designed for dentists, to be applicable to a broader range of medical and surgical specialties. This initiative aims to educate new medical and surgical graduates on malpractice insurance and related subjects for business application in private practice. We are hiring up to 15 interns for 15 different books. Each intern will be responsible for only one of these medical or surgical specialty books.
Book Topics Include:
-Basics of malpractice insurance policies
-Corporate structures
-Risk management
-State torts and medical board complaints
-Malpractice claims to resolution processes
-Emerging Trends: tort reforms, cyber insurance, nuclear verdicts, inflation.
Responsibilities:
-Translate and adapt content to a medical or surgical specialty.
-Conduct research to update and verify technical information.
-Collaborate with experts to ensure accuracy.
-Design visual aids to effectively illustrate key concepts.
-Manage deadlines and coordinate with editorial teams for smooth workflow.
-This project requires original, human-authored content.
Access to Experts:
The intern will have access to a seasoned physician who is an expert in insurance and the editorial team from the original book, providing a unique opportunity for in-depth learning and professional guidance.
Qualifications:
-Current enrollment in a U.S. medical school, law school or graduate student.
-Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
-Ability to handle complex technical material and perform detailed research.
-Experience in creating visual aids.
-Capability to work independently and within a team environment.
