Handshake Job Roles
About Job Role Groups
With a job search, you might have ideas of what you don’t want, or feelings about what you do, but you may not know what terms to use to find what you’re seeking.
Check out the new Job Role Groups on Handshake. These groups combine occupations under a specific Job Role, based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS’s) Standard Occupation Classifications. Employers must choose at least one Job Role Group in their postings. When a student uses the Job Role Group search term or adds a Job Role Group to their profile, they can find opportunities in Handshake and receive more customized suggestions on their homepage.
Each Job Role Group page includes details about job roles available in Handshake - average salary data, reviews, job postings, and popular skills.
