Microsoft Excel Guided Projects
Microsoft Excel Guided Projects consists of 5 independent, self-paced asynchronous guided projects that students can complete on their own for a total of 6-8 hours of training.
- Excel for Beginners: Introduction to Spreadsheets
- Using Basic Formulas and Functions in Microsoft Excel
- Create charts and dashboards using Microsoft Excel
- Finding, Sorting and Filtering Data in Microsoft Excel
- Conditional Formatting, Tables and Charts in Microsoft Excel
Students who complete all 5 guided projects will receive a Coursera electronic badge. Students may need to complete these on a desktop.

Microsoft Office Guided Projects

- Getting Started with Microsoft Word
- Make a Table of Contents, Footnotes, and more with Word
- Getting Started with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Designing and Formatting a Presentation in PowerPoint
- Getting Started with Microsoft One drive
- Getting Started with Microsoft Forms
Students who complete all 6 guided projects will receive a Coursera electronic badge. Students must complete these on a desktop.

Data Visualization & Data Analytics Guided Projects
Data Analytics and Visualization Guided Projects consists of 4 independent, self-paced asynchronous guided projects that students can complete on their own for a total of 6 hours of training.
- Overview of Data Visualization
- Getting Started in Google Analytics
- Create Charts and Dashboard using Google Sheets
- Working with Big Query in Google
Students may need to complete on a desktop and will need a Google account. Students who complete all 4 projects will receive a completion certificate.

Google Guided Projects (*Beginning Fall 2025)
- Introduction to Google Docs-Beg.
- Collaborating with Google Suite Apps-Beg.
- Create a Project Charter with Google Docs-Beg.
- Working with Big Query-Google-Beg.
- Getting Started in Google Analytics-Beg.
- Create Charts and Dashboards using Google Sheets-Beg.
- Create a Simple Project Timeline in Google Sheets-Beg.
- Using Google Forms for Student Success-Beg.

Adobe Express Experiential Learning Session:
The Adobe Express Session will include asynchronous curriculum, interactive sessions, and final presentations. Students will learn to create and share an engaging professional video using Adobe’s video editor, Express. Students will learn how to make a 2–3-minute creative video with multiple tracks including audio, voice over that includes graphics and transitions. This will be a career readiness video that students can share with employers. Students will have the opportunity to share their completed video with experts in the field and can also use the video at a later time as a tool to showcase their skills and talents.

Project Management Work Simulations
During this session, students will utilize Forage (theforage.com), which is a free and open-access online library of employer-designed job simulations.
This session will include 3 work simulations focused on learning Project Management. These sessions include:
- Project Management with CBRE, Introductory, 1-2 hours
- Product Management with Electronic Arts, Introductory, 1-2 hours
- Project Management with Siemens Mobility, Introductory, 1-2 hours
These work experiences are open to all undergraduate students in any major, both Arizona Online and Main campus students are invited to participate.
Students who successfully complete all three within the session time frame will receive a UA certificate of completion for 6 hours of work with Project Management
Information about Forage: Students develop skills and gain a real understanding of a variety of industries by working through self-paced modules as if they were an employee for that company. Students receive a certificate from Forage at the successful conclusion of each work simulation. Students can add their certificate(s) to their resume and LinkedIn profile.
Artificial Intelligence Work Simulations
During this session, students will utilize Forage (theforage.com), which is a free and open-access online library of employer-designed job simulations.
This session will include 2 work simulations focused on learning Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. These sessions include:
- GenAI with BCG, Intermediate, 3-4 hours
- Introduction to Data Science with CB, Introductory, 3-4 hours
These work experiences are open to all undergraduate students in any major, both Arizona Online and Main campus students are invited to participate.
Students who successfully complete all three within the session time frame will receive a UA certificate of completion for 8 hours of work with AI and Data Science.

Students receive a certificate from Forage at the successful conclusion of each work simulation. Students can add their certificate(s) to their resume and LinkedIn profile.
