Semiconductor Manufacturing Fast Track
The Semiconductor Manufacturing Fast Track is a free, 6-week co-curricular program designed to help students explore career pathways in one of the fastest-growing and most impactful industries.
Through a combination of flexible, asynchronous learning and interactive sessions, you will build foundational knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and apply what you learn in a collaborative, team-based project.
In this program, you will:
- Complete self-paced learning modules on semiconductor manufacturing
- Collaborate with peers on a real-world team project
- Engage directly with industry professionals and experts
- Present your final project to industry partners for feedback
You’ll also gain insight into internship and entry-level opportunities and have the option to share your resume with participating employers at the end of the program.
Students in Engineering, CAST, College of Science, Optical Science, and Business who are interested in this field are especially encouraged to apply.
Program Schedule (All sessions held on Mondays)
- Session 1 (March 30, 4:00–5:30 PM)
Kickoff: Program overview, curriculum introduction, and project launch - Session 2 (April 6, 4:00–5:30 PM)
Curriculum review with Q&A and discussion - Session 3 (April 13, 4:00–5:30 PM)
Employer panel discussion - Session 4 (April 20, 4:00–5:30 PM)
Team project work session - Session 5 (April 27, 4:00–5:30 PM)
Team project work session and office hours - Session 6 (May 4, 4:00–6:00 PM)
Final presentations with industry partners
Completion & Commitment
Students who successfully complete all program components will receive:
- A microcredential badge
- A stipend at the end of the program
This Fast Track requires approximately 20 hours over 6 weeks, including live sessions, asynchronous coursework, and team collaboration.
All sessions are mandatory. Please register only if you can attend the full program.
