When Tso was looking for a job, many of the recruiters and hiring managers told him it wasn't enough to have technical know-how. "I didn't have the level of experience, that comfort-level with the technolgy, they were looking for."
As part of the partnership with the UA, RevaturePro is free to current students and recent grads, and it teaches the latest in-demand coding skills in any of Revature's 20+ online programs, including Java, .NET, and Front End Web Technologies. Graduates can also be hired by Revature for SPARK, which consists of 12 weeks of immersive, industry-aligned coding training and dedicated industry mentors to ensure success.
Tso started with Revature SPARK training, not long after graduation in June.
"SPARK is for university grads without a computer science background," says Tso. "And the training covered how industry professionals were doing things, best practices, and on-the job expectations.
"It's great for people who are passionate, creative, hardworking and who have an interest in becoming industry-standard developers." After completing training, participants are ready to be hired and participate in the 10-week onsite training. After completing training, Revature software engineers work on projects for our Fortune 500 clients.
Tso completed his training in September and started working for Infosys in Arizona one month later.
