Job Shadow Program – Host A Student For A Day – Now Accepting Applications

“This was a great opportunity! The shadow provided a student a chance to learn what it is like to be in the workforce and steps they need to take to get there.” – Job Shadow Host
The Job Shadow Program provides opportunities for students to expand their knowledge about industries, job functions, and employer culture in a one-day experience designed by you. You’ll provide students a low-risk opportunity to peek behind the curtain for future career opportunities and build excitement about a future internship or job search.
Organizations are invited to host one or more students. Shadows occur during the winter, spring and summer breaks. Interested organizations can contact Brianna Ferrell, Program Manager, Early Talent Connections, at brifulp@arizona.edu.

Fast Track – Industry-Specific Functional & Technical Skills

Fast Track is a partnership where students at the University of Arizona engage in a experiential learning experience to quickly learn industry-specific technical and functional skills before they enter the job market.
Fast Track is ideal for organizations in emerging or growing industries to connect with students and to introduce their industry and the opportunities for the future.

Design Lab – Team-Based Design Learning

“Design Lab was awesome to work with and the students were fantastic!” – Humane Borders, Inc.
Organizations can engage with one or more multi-disciplinary teams of students who research, ideate, and prototype solutions to real-world challenges, supported at each phase of their micro-internship by our staff. The time and energy the employer is required to invest is minimal, but the impact is enormous.
Interested organizations can contact Eli Burke, Senior Program Manager Design Lab at eliburke@arizona.edu.

“Our intern was extremely professional, punctual, and an overall joy to have on the team. Hearing firsthand that this opportunity has greatly benefited her, it has shown us the importance of connecting with students to provide an avenue for them to gain real world experience.” – Employer, Summer Impact Award
