Due to the pandemic a lot was changed during my internship. However, I felt it gave a great insight into the functions of an animal rescue organization. I feel as though it helped me understand the needs of behavior modification and training when trying to get an animal adopted. During my internship I was able to meet with many people who are in my desired field. I was able to also make a connection with a foster in the veterinary industry. The best part was assisting in helping a dog get adopted by addressing her behavioral concerns. I was also able to guide a foster in rehabilitating a formerly abused dog. This was incredibly rewarding and gave me confidence in my professional and Learned skills. In the future I hope to continue working with this organization!
