Recruit on Campus!
Campus Interviewing is a great way to connect with students. Each year, 250-300 employers interview on campus. Organizations who interview typically represent large to medium-sized corporate employers looking to hire students in the areas of business, industry and government. There is also a significant number of local and regional employers from small and mid-sized organizations. These employers come from all over the country to interview students for both internships/co-ops and full-time positions upon graduation.
Recruiter evaluations rank UA students as highly qualified, with strong academic preparation, well-rounded work experience and excellent interviewing skills. Recruiters who have visited our campus have given us a 99% satisfaction rating overall.

Campus interviewing is designed primarily for business, industry and government organizations that have projected hiring needs.

Enhance student awareness, engagement, and knowledge of your company culture prior to your campus interview.
Information Session is an educational presentation which provides you the opportunity to promote your organization and outline the career opportunities available to our students. Many employers hold their sessions during resume submission period in preparation for on-campus interviews.
Mall Tabling provides you the opportunity to spend time on campus and meet students in an informal setting. Employers set up a table outside on our high-traffic UA "mall" area in front of the Student Union Memorial Center.
These activities can be scheduled with the help of our office. To inquire about scheduling your visit, please submit your request in the events tab on Wildcat JobLink. Our staff will contact you to review your request and logistical arrangements. Pricing, policies and availability will vary. Some fees will not be associated with Career Services.

What is an internship?
An internship is a structured learning experience in a work setting. A majority of internships take place in the summer but many are available throughout the year. Internship programs can be found at private corporations, government offices and nonprofit organizations. Internships can be paid or unpaid positions.
What is Cooperative Education?
Cooperative Education positions are paid positions that require students to work either full-time and return to school the following semester, or part-time while attending classes. Some organizations provide summer Co-ops. Many organizations recruit sophomores or juniors for Co-ops. Students participating in these programs are sometimes offered full-time jobs before or immediately after graduation.

In today’s global economy, hiring international students is a smart move for employers. The University of Arizona has an enrollment of approximately 2,600 extraordinarily talented international students on non-immigrant visas, representing a broad spectrum of academic majors. These students are the cream of the crop from their home countries. Many of these highly motivated students have expressed an interest in using their knowledge and skills with American firms, and employers would do well to consider them for future employment.
Federal laws governing whether U. S. companies can hire non-U.S. citizens are complex. Understandably, employers may be uncertain whether they can be hired at all. Although there are time limits upon their employment, the bottom line is: international students ARE allowed to work within the United States.
Once you overcome the question of whether or not you can legally hire international students, the next hurdle may be your concerns and questions about the complexity of doing so. With all the benefits that come from creating a more diverse workforce, taking time to understand the process is a smart move.
There are certain restrictions regarding the work that international students can do. Because of the complexities of hiring international students, it is important that you consult with your legal counsel or the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
