Jobs & Internships
There are a variety of tools and strategies that you can use to make your job or internship search more fruitful. Which strategies you choose will depend on what field you intend to pursue, what types of employers you are targeting, geographic location, and a host of other factors. Many employers from a variety of fields recruit University of Arizona students for internships and jobs through On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) and Resume Referrals via Wildcat JobLink.
Resume Referrals are initialized when employers contact Career Services to request resumes of qualified candidates. If you have created a profile in Wildcat JobLink and uploaded a Default Resume, you are automatically represented in the referral should you meet the qualifications requested by the employer. Employers screen the resumes and contact candidates directly.
Make sure you have set your most current (and generic) resume as your Default Resume in Wildcat JobLink. This resume is the one that will be sent to employers should they express interest in you. We highly recommend that you log into Wildcat JobLink at least twice a year to update your resume. Accounts that have been inactive more than six months will not be referred to recruiters.
